Andrew Imms is an enterprise technologist, business lecturer and serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience delivering complex digital systems and technology platforms. His expertise centres on platform governance, data integrity and the responsible deployment of emerging technologies, areas that are fundamental to CognateUK's infrastructure.
Andrew is the founder of Imminently and Netria AI, organisations focused on applied artificial intelligence, secure data systems and digital learning technologies. Alongside his entrepreneurial work, he lectures in Business in higher education and contributes to applied innovation and research projects supporting SMEs and social organisations.
Contracted via Imminently, Andrew leads the design and development of CognateUK's secure, scalable, AI-enabled learning platform, including ProfBot, the AI learning tool at the heart of FutureReady's AI integration.
Andrew works closely with the leadership and programme team to ensure that CognateUK's platform is secure, transparent and robust enough to support structured, evidence-based learning. He is responsible for ensuring that ProfBot and the wider digital infrastructure align with CognateUK's safeguarding standards, data integrity requirements and long-term scalability.
His approach to technology reflects EFEC's core philosophy. Digital tools are not the product. They are one component within a carefully designed, governance-led system that supports genuine capability development.
